Mrs. Hurley's class learned about perfect squares! A number that is a square number will form a square, so they took to the sidewalk and visualized their learning with chalk and other manipulatives! #7GAGrowTogether

Mrs. Bass' students engaged in solving a mystery in Math! Students had to solve various math problems in order to get clues to figure out the mystery. #7GAGrowTogether

Mrs. Bass' classes are learning the basic laws of exponents. They take turns doing examples on board, and they all want to get up and do an example! Great job, scholars! #7GAGrowTogether

Athletic Passes are now available in the main office! Athletic passes are purchased by students for admittance into ALL Marion Athletic events, all grade levels, for the entire school year (does not include AAA benefit games). The pass will be printed onto your student ID, and student ID badges are required to be worn at athletic events. If you are a Patriot athlete (any sport!), the cost is $15. For all other 7GA Patriots, the cost is $25. Passes can be purchased in the main office. #7GAGrowTogether

Reminder: All medical forms, Chromebook forms, and other papers that were passed out at Open House or the first day of school need to be signed and returned as soon as possible! Many forms have already been turned in, but we are still missing a few. #7GAGrowTogether

Mrs. Jamison's Spanish classes are using technology to help them find the Spanish words for various fruits. #7GAGrowTogether

Over the past two days we have been able to have meetings with all of our 7th graders! We went over rules and procedures, guidelines, and expectations. We covered everything from dress code to cellphones, hall passes to nurse passes! Our 7th graders are doing a great job transitioning to the secondary level! #7GAGrowTogether

Parents: Our 7th graders are starting to settle into their new routines, learning their classes and schedules! They have all learned so quickly, and we are very proud of them! One routine we need to practice is making sure we have all our things as we come to school in the morning and as we move about during the day. Please help your 7th grader make a mental checklist of what they need each day: Backpack, ID badge, Chromebook, lunchbox (if they bring their lunch), band instrument, etc. We do already have a Lost & Found table set up in the cafeteria if your child is missing something! #7GAGrowTogether

7GA Parents: If your child is in need of a schedule change, please have them fill out the Google form that was sent to their school email. Our wonderful counselor, Mrs. Jefferson, will reach out to students from that list. #7GAGrowTogether
