As part of our Red Ribbon Week activities, 7GA had an assembly to hear from three guest speakers. SRO Cauley, Mr. Tucker, and Laurie Hoselton each shared about the dangers and consequences of using drugs.

This morning we recognized the achievements of our wonderful young scholars from the first nine weeks. We celebrated attendance, Honor Roll, and special MVP awards nominated by teachers. We are so proud of our seventh graders' accomplishments! Parents and family members, thank you for coming and celebrating with us!

Mrs. Deese's Career Development class got a chance to experience VR (Virtual Reality) headsets.
Career Exploration hands-on simulations showcase different career paths that allow students to understand their career options, experience what it's like to work in different careers, and ultimately get on a path to a well-paying job.

Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated from October 23-31, 2023.
The theme this year is "Be Kind To Your Mind, Be Drug Free."
This is a nation-wide recognized week for presenting a drug prevention program, as well as, drug awareness for grades PK-12. Red Ribbon Week was inspired by the tragic death in 1985 of undercover Drug Enforcement Administration Agent Enrique Camarena at the hands of Mexican drug traffickers.

National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month is a month-long observance to educate and raise awareness about bullying and cyberbullying prevention. It is recognized during the month of October.

October is National Principals Month. Today we want to feature 7GA's own Emily Hall. We are happy to celebrate " her! Mrs. Hall is an exceptional leader who gives 110% everyday.

October marks National Bullying Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the damaging impact of bullying and fostering a culture of empathy and respect.
Bullying can have long-lasting effects on individuals of all ages, leading to emotional distress, decreased self-esteem, and compromised mental health.
Join us this month as we encourage individuals, our community, and schools to come together in combatting bullying, promoting kindness, and creating safe spaces for everyone.
